THE SNAGOV LAKETOUR BY BOAT

The Snagov area - the green jewel of Bucharest(as Budapest has the BalatonLake and Paris has Bois de Boulogne). A large base of reference points, archaeological remains, historical, cultural, social and mundane events (potential which could be valued with assistance from the EU).
The SnagovLake is the most important leisure lake around the capital city, and the most picturesque tourist attraction in the area, its beauty being completed by the surrounding forests.

Route presentation:
The trip by boat emphasizes the beauty of the lake and that of the oak, lime and ash tree forest on its banks. On a beautiful day the smooth float on the boat will provide you with an especially relaxing and pleasant day.
The main tourist attractionthe Snagov Monastery (the place where Vlad Tepes requested to be buried in, as his father did) is located on an island which can be reached by water on a boat.

 

The guide will be available and will provide details about many subjects related to the area:
1) personalities hosted by SnagovVaporas_de_lux_m.JPG
2) naturally protected area (birds, trees, animal species, etc.)
3) the changes performed during Nicolae Ceausescu's rule (he lived during 18 years in Snagov during summer time)
4) many others

 

Duration: 5 hours (beginning from: 09:00 a.m., optionally 11:00, 13:00)
Price: 81 EURO or 290 RON / person. It includes:
- guide availability for the whole duration of the trip
- bus transport Bucharest - Snagov - Bucharest (around 2 hours)
- entrance ticket to the monastery
- water transport by boat to the monastery (around 3 hours)
- refreshment (on boat's deck - Swedish luncheon)

 

Group: minimum 20 persons - maximum 45 (buses with 24 and 45 seats). Call for smaller groups. The bookings will be done with a minimum of 2 weeks in advance. The payment will be done in advance for the full amount.
